I obtained my status as a registered teacher back in 2017 and have worked at different local kindergartens and private English playgroups. During that time, I was also furthering my education and gained a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education with a focus on infants and toddlers. This was also when I had the pleasure of participating in FJA's practicum placement programme.
I am a trustworthy, patient, and approachable person who has a passion for working with very young children. With a sound working knowledge, I work well as a team member to assist teachers to stimulate children’s holistic development and maximise their ability through natural environment and quality play. Play-based learning is important in early years for children to grasp an understanding of their inner world and the world around them. It encourages them to explore their ideas and to interact with the environment in their own ways, it also helps develop independence and confidence.
I am a nature explorer. Hiking, camping, swimming and kayaking are just a few of the outdoor activities that I love to do with my friends and family in my spare time. Similarly, learning is like taking an adventure - by trying and failing, you will advance and find your own way to succeed. I am glad to be part of the FJA family, and I look forward to working with your children, supporting them, and encouraging them to realise their intrinsic potential as well as providing the children with the best opportunities to learn and explore.
