I was born and raised in Hong Kong and have lived here for most of my life. I attended university in the UK but decided to come back to HK to initially pursue something that involved singing! While studying for my singing exams I had the opportunity to work at an international school and since then I have worked in various international primary schools as an educational assistant. I have nearly 10 years of experience working with children with special educational needs as well as in music and mainstream classrooms.
Another passion of mine is music. Singing has always been an important part of my life and I have had opportunities leading junior and senior choirs in my previous schools as well as perform as a singer. I have been teaching singing for 5 years and will continue to pursue singing and music related activities in the future.
Last year I decided to take the leap and embark on the path to become a qualified teacher. While studying for my PGCE it occurred to me that most of my family are educators, therefore it could be said that teaching is in my blood! I love working with children and as an educator I believe first and foremost that education should be fun! When children are intrinsically motivated they will seek to inquire more about things which I believe is the start of becoming life-long learners.
I enjoy working with Fairchild and being part of the Fairchild family!
