Holding a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education, I bring hands-on experience from diverse private and public kindergartens, including Fairchild Kindergarten. This journey sparked my deep alignment with FJA’s educational philosophy, which perfectly mirrors my own teaching ideals.
I am an outgoing person with a kind heart who enjoys continuous learning. Through several years of study, I have gained greater confidence in early childhood education and have developed a deep love for children. During my studies, I majored in early childhood education. I firmly believe that education from a young age is crucial for children—not only in terms of linguistic knowledge, but also in establishing foundational theories and value systems. I have consistently strived to instill positive values and moral principles in young children throughout the teaching process. Although the formal Moral and Civic Education (MCE) curriculum is introduced at the primary school level, kindergartens in Hong Kong can integrate values education through various activities and teaching strategies.
I hope to impart my core values to my students. These values may include respect, responsibility, honesty, kindness, cooperation, and perseverance. I will deliberately plan activities and create situations to provide children with opportunities to understand and practice these values. For instance, storytelling plays a vital role in values education at kindergarten. Teachers use stories to introduce moral dilemmas, ethical concepts, and positive role models. After reading a story, teachers engage children in discussions to explore the values and moral lessons embedded within the narrative. They encourage children to reflect on the characters' actions and connect them to their own lives.
